Shauna L. Gibbons completed her Juris Doctor at the University of Alberta Law School in 2015. As part of her degree, Shauna received an International Certificate in Effective Representation in Mediation from Bucerius Law School in Hamburg, Germany in 2013.
Prior to law school, Shauna received a Certificate in Youth Ministry from the United Church of Canada, Naramata, British Columbia in 1991 and a Bachelor of Arts with Distinction from the University of Alberta in 1996.
Shauna completed her articles with a focus on Utilities Regulation in 2016. Shauna continued her practice development by expanding into family law and civil litigation. Shauna currently is primarily active in the practice areas of Utilities Regulation, Family Law, and Civil Litigation.
Shauna advocates effectively for her corporate clients as they navigate tribunal compliance and regulatory hearings. She brings a human-focused approach to family law that responds in a timely manner to parenting, spousal, and division of property issues. She strives to find practical and cost-effective solutions that are timely and meaningful.
Associations and Interests
Shauna has been a member of the Law Society of Alberta since 2016. Shauna is a member of the Canadian Bar Association (Administrative Law Section and Women Lawyer’s Section) and she is also a member of the Alberta Civil Trial Lawyers’ Association. Shauna is a “movie buff”, has traveled extensively internationally, and maintains a physically active lifestyle.
