Litigation Legal Assistant
We have an opening in our Spruce Grove office for the position of Litigation Legal Assistant. You are a person who is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and a good communicator. As this is a multi-faceted and hands-on position, you are able to assess customer needs and deliver appropriate solutions. You are professional in all dealings with clients, staff, and the public, both in person and by phone and email.
This position is a full-time permanent position.
As the ideal candidate, you will possess at least 3 years of Legal Assistant experience in personal injury litigation, general litigation, and/or family law litigation and be proficient in the following:
- Preparation of legal documents, including assembly and preparation of e-docs
- Document filings and registrations
- Drafting and/or proofreading of various correspondence
- Maintaining efficient file management and bring-forward system
- Maintaining calendars, email management and generally managing lawyers’ practice
- Client correspondence, booking appointments, and client interaction
- Working collaboratively with administrative staff
- Following firm policies and procedures
Along with your superior interpersonal skills, you will join us with highly developed organizational and time management skills. You are driven to continually improve upon the customer experience and are enthusiastic and positive about learning new ways to better the business.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certificate in an accredited legal assistant or paralegal program and/or successful career history in the role of a legal assistant
- Strong computer skills including exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Previous experience with Court Documents, including Pleadings, Affidavits, Applications, Orders, etc.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to deadlines
- A High level of professionalism in dealing with clients and other contacts
- Demonstrated success working as a member of a team.

Job Summary
Main Street Law LLP is seeking a full-time & part-time Real Estate Conveyancer for our Spruce Grove office.
Skills & Requirements:
- Legal Assistant Diploma or comparable experience required;
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in a real estate assistant or conveyancing position;
- Proficient in MS Office;
- Experience with LawyerDoneDeal software an asset;
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner with clients, builders, lawyers, financing institutions and related contacts as required;
- Strong organizational skills and time management skills;
- Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision;
- Detail-oriented.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Drafting and full processing of legal and banking documents in the areas of purchase, sale and refinance of residential real estate transactions
- Review purchase and sale contracts, builders’ contracts, financing documents, Land Titles documents and other documents as required;
- Cheque processing through Ghost Practice and Esi-law;
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge of the real estate industry and conveyancing is a requirement for this position.
